Would you like to be part of the Sacred Heart Outdoor Spaces group?
Our extensive green spaces around Sacred Heart have always been a place of beauty, peace and prayer. They have also historically been maintained by volunteers. Our parish is in need of helpers to keep our Outdoor Spaces tidy and inviting.
There are two volunteer opportunities to help with this. First, all Sacred Heart parishioners and their families are invited to bring their rakes on Saturday, April 13th from 1:00-2:30 to clean up the grounds after winter.
Second, the parish needs volunteers to maintain a section of the garden beds around the perimeter of the church, convent and school. This would involve applying mulch provided by the church in the spring and weeding their assigned section throughout the summer.
There is also the possibility of starting an Outdoor Spaces Committee for enthusiastic gardeners who would like to help make decisions about keeping the area beautiful now and for years to come.
